Aims & Scope

The Iranian Scientific Fisheries Journal is a leading publication in the field of aquatic sciences, publishing since summer 1992. It aims to amplify, modify, question, or redirect accumulated knowledge in the field of fisheries and aquatic science.

The journal publishes various types of articles, including perspectives (syntheses, critiques, and re-evaluations), discussions (comments and replies), articles, and short communications, relating to current research on -omics, cells, organisms, populations, ecosystems, or processes that affect aquatic systems.

The journal is indexed in several prominent databases, including ProQuest, SID, CABI, ASFA, DOAJ, Google Scholar, Magiran, ISC, OceanDocs, and Aquatic Commons, and has an Impact Factor in ISC. All newly published ‘perspectives’ articles will be freely accessible upon publication.
