Aims & Scope

More specifically,the Journal of Management Development seeks to publish papers that asks and helps to answer important and interesting questions in management development, develops or tests theory, extends prior studies, explores interesting phenomena, reviews and synthesizes existing research.

All empirical methods including - but not limited to - qualitative, quantitative, field, laboratory, meta-analytic and mixed-methods are welcome.

Editorial criteria Manuscripts should make strong empirical and theoretical contributions should highlight the relevance of those contributions to management development.

Manuscripts should be of a conceptual/theoretical nature that includes practical application, based on practical experience/research, report a case study situation or any combination thereof.

The prime requirement for acceptance of an article will be that it: is directly relevant to management development; makes a significant original contribution to the field; contains elements which have general application; and is within the scope of the journal coverage.

The Journal of Management Development draws together the thinking and research relating to the role played by managers in contemporary organizations.

It is widely acknowledged that investment in management development helps to reduce costs, increase sales and improve productivity.

The development of management influences such fields as business strategy, organizational theory, corporate governance and entrepreneurship, which add value to society and change societal life in ways which have significant and sustainable outcomes.
