International Organization (IO) is a leading peer-reviewed journal that covers the entire field of international affairs.

Subject areas include: foreign policies, international relations, international and comparative political economy, security policies, environmental disputes and resolutions, regional integration, alliance patterns and war, bargaining and conflict resolution, economic development and adjustment, and international capital movements.

The journal is continuously ranked among the top journals in the field.

Although this journal does not publish book reviews, IO publishes high-quality review essays that survey new developments in a particular area of study, synthesize important ideas, and raise key issues for future scholarship.
