Aims & Scope
in silico Plants (isP) is an open-access, peer reviewed online journal dealing with all aspects of plant modelling.
The journal aims to provide a single home for work from currently dis-parate research areas, publishing interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary and cross-disciplinary research at the interface between mathematics, computer science, plant biology and crop sciences.
The journal is owned and managed by the Annals of Botany Company, a not-for-profit educational charity established to promote plant science worldwide.
The aim of isP is to publish works that utilize mathematical modeling and associated soft-ware/ computational tools involved in the following areas: - plant gene networks - metabolic pathways - protein synthesis - genomic predictions - phenomics - physiology - ecophysiology - growth and development - biomechanics and biophysics - plant improvement, including breeding - community dynamics - plant ecology. and for the following systems: - organelles, cells and single plants - crop systems (agronomy) - natural systems including forests - plant functional types - regional and earth systems
