Aims & Scope

ICON, the bi-annual journal of ICOHTEC founded in 1995, publishes essays, research articles, research briefs, review essays and book reviews on all aspects and periods of technological history by members and non-members.

It devotes special attention to the discussion of contemporary problems of technology in their socio-economic and cultural settings.

The journal’s goal is to foster scholarship by providing timely review and circulation of ideas to an international audience.
