Aims & Scope
Gender in Management: An International Journal publishes empirical research, conceptual and thought pieces from both researchers and practitioners that focus on the subject of gender, within the context of management and leadership.
The aim is to enable a community of GM researchers and practitioners to exchange their ideas, develop and contribute to the research agendas and progress the development of GM both theoretically and in management and leadership practice.
GM is essential reading for those who want an overview of the current research and practice base in GM and for practitioners seeking ways to develop GM.
Any area of Gender in Management taken from diverse discipline perspectives which make a contribution to gender in management and/or leadership is welcome.
Authors should be explicit in their positions in relation to each of the concepts through precise and clear explanations of in relation to gender, management and/or leadership to contextualise their research.
Coverage includes, but is not restricted to: • Management and leadership styles • Career issues • Equality and diversity issues • Forms of capital • Flexibility issues • Legal issues • Work life balance • Emotions in the workplace • Employee-employer relationships • Sexual politics, harassment and discrimination • Gender stereotypes • Identity issues • Entrepreneurship • Cross-cultural issues • Intersectionality issues • Theoretical developments • Feminist research methodologies By their very nature, the subjects discussed will be timely, controversial, grounded and contextualised within the interdisciplinary GM fields.
These may result from specific community discussions concerning GM e.g.
Conference Tracks, Workshops, from international, legislative and/or policy developments.
