Aims & Scope

The Zeitschrift für französische Sprache und Literatur ("Journal for French Language and Literature") is an academic journal with a programmatic focus on articles on French language and literature that has enjoyed a long tradition since its foundation in 1879.

It aims to encompass all historical periods whilst also taking current literary and linguistic research issues into account.

In addition, the journal provides a forum for work on current theory formation as well as containing articles, often with a comparative focus, on Francophone Studies and the regional languages of France with a particular emphasis on Occitan.

The journal has an extensive section dedicated to book reviews.

Articles in German, French, or English are welcome.

All contributions are selected by an international comité de lecture.
