Zbornik Slovenskeho Narodneho Muzea Archeologia

Aims & Scope

The journal publishes original contributions of supraregional significance from archeology and related scientific disciplines with a focus on the material culture of prehistory, protohistory and the Middle Ages in the Central Danube and Central European region, as well as theoretical and synthetic studies.

The journal also brings contributions from international colloquia, regularly organized by the Slovak National Museum-Archaeological Museum, which is the publisher.

Authors contributing in the periodical are from Slovakia as well from abroad, mainly from Central Europe (Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary, Poland).

The journal is published in the languages ​​of the authors with an extensive summary in world languages.

The members of its editorial board are established scientists from the Slovak National Museum and leading researchers from Slovakia and the Czech Republic.

Each paper is reviewed anonymously by two experts.

The proceedings are published in A4 format once a year on 31.5.

All volumes of the periodical have open access.

In addition, the journal also includes an irregular monographically focused edition Supplementum.
