Aims & Scope

Vestnik Arheologii, Antropologii i Etnografii has been published since 1997.

The Journal was registered as an electronic edition and an online edition in 2007 and 2017, respectively.

Vestnik Arheologii, Antropologii i Etnografii publishes original scholarly papers of a theoretical and empirical character presenting important research findings in the realm of archaeology, anthropology, ethnography and related research directions.

Its key sections – “Archaeology”, “Anthropology” and “Ethnography” – encompass both theoretical investigations and empirical studies aimed at describing particular archaeological sites, anthropological series and ethnographic collections.

Individual Journal issues also feature the “Book reviews” and “Chronicles” sections.

The Journal is issued 4 times per year.

The Journal publishes articles in Russian with comprehensive English-language abstracts and in English with comprehensive Russian-language abstracts.

For foreign authors submitting their works in English, assistance is provided regarding the translation of the article metadata into Russian.

Publication in the Journal is free of charge for all the authors.

The Journal provides immediate open access to its content according to its Open Access policy.
