Aims & Scope

Revista de História’s main target audience is scholars and students of the disciplines within Social Sciences and Humanities.
It publishes original articles, essays, interviews, debates, translated works and critical reviews in History.
It follows a rolling submission deadline policy.
Topoi.
Revista de História follows a double-blind peer review process.
Submitted manuscripts first obtain a preliminary approval by the Editorial Board.
They are then evaluated by two outside reviewers.
If there is disagreement between the reviewers, the work goes to a third reviewer.
Final acceptance depends on the reviewers’ recommendation, on the author’s or authors’ compliance with the requests for whatever changes are deemed necessary, and on the final approval by the Editorial Board.
The rejection rate of articles is 25% on average.
All content of the journal, except where identified, is licensed under a Creative Commons attribution-type BY-NC.
Book reviews, interviews, translated works and essays are evaluated by the editors, and are not send to reviewers.
Likewise, translations of previously published articles depend exclusively on the approval by the Editorial Board.
Authors must inform the editors about any potential conflict of interest, including but not limited to political or financial constrains connected to the research.
After evaluation of the manuscript, if approved, the author may send to the journal data about the institution or funding agency which supported the research pertinent to the manuscript.
