Aims & Scope

Sustainable Development and Engineering Economics (SDEE) is an international scientific journal that aims to provide a platform for knowledge exchange about the interrelations between sustainability, engineering economy, engineering infrastructure, management of innovations, management of enterprises, and regional development.

The journal focuses on four main sections:

1. Economics of engineering and innovation decisions as a part of sustainable development

This section presents papers that examine the effects of new technology implementation at local and regional levels, discussing economic and financial aspects of new technological developments, and how new technologies modify the relationship between the state and citizens.

2. Enterprises and sustainable development of regions

This topic focuses on the general impact of enterprises on sustainable development, including circular economies, sustainable business models, and assessments of direct and indirect effects of companies and industrial development.

3. Sustainable development of regional infrastructure

This section discusses the role of different types of infrastructure in sustainable development, including physical, innovation, digital, smart, financial, transportation, and entrepreneurial infrastructure, and their effects on economic, innovative, social, and environmental regional development.

4. Management of knowledge and innovation for sustainable development

This topic focuses on innovation management, including the structuring of innovation processes, establishing means and methods to generate value, and putting ideas into practice to avoid systemic stagnation and foster corporate sustainability.
