Aims & Scope
Studia Slavica is a reviewed scientific journal the origins of which go back to 1993.
Until 2017, it was published by the Department of Slavonic Studies at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Ostrava and the University of Opole.
Since 2002, the Studia Slavica has been published regularly once a year and since 2013 the periodicity increased to two issues a year.
The journal publishes original scientific articles from the field of Slavonic literature, Slavonic linguistics, didactics of Slavonic languages, cultural and translation studies and it illustrates the current state and development in the field of Slavonic philology.
The journal also includes reviews, information on new publications and a chronicle.
Since the very beginning of its existence, all contributions published in the Studia Slavica journal have undergone an independent review procedure.
Papers are published in all Slavonic languages, including an English-language abstract and summary.
Since 2018, the only publisher of the Studia Slavica journal is the University of Ostrava.
