Aims & Scope
State and Local Government Review welcomes manuscripts that focus on state and local governments and those that explore the intergovernmental dimensions of public-sector activity.
The journal seeks to publish research illuminating federal and multi-level systems of governance around the globe.
The journal includes four types of contributions: (1) Research Articles (about 8,000 words in length), (2) Response Essays from scholars and practitioners (about 2,500 words in length), (3) Field Notes, which include research notes by scholars and case studies illustrating innovations by practitioners (about 4,000 words in length), and (4) Perspectives, invited essays from leaders in state and local government (about 2,500 words in length).
