Aims & Scope

Serendipities publishes three kinds of texts:

Articles reporting research results, developing theoretical arguments, or – at best – offering a combination of both. These articles should be concerned with the sociology and history of the social sciences and demonstrate how they add to our knowledge. This is best achieved when they are positioned in relation to the relevant literature from the field.

The journal also features book reviews presenting and assessing new publications relevant to the subject matter of the journal. There is no restriction with regard to the language of the reviewed publication. Additionally, the journal welcomes various forms of research materials, such as archival materials, reconstructions of past situations, data sets, and similar, presented with short commentaries on their significance.
