Aims & Scope
Senj Museum Society and Senj Town's Museum have been publishing the scientific journal Senjski zbornik (The Anthology of Senj - contributions to geography, ethnology, economy, history and culture) since 1965.
To date 51 issues have been published with papers from numerous eminent scientists in history, culture, literature, economy, geography and other scientific areas.
The subjects, which have been discussed in the journal, have been mostly related to the city of Senj and its surroundings as well as the wider area of the eastern Adriatic coast and its hinterland.
However, they are of interest to a broader circle of scientists at the international level, especially in terms of cultural significance, historical connections, archaeological importance, research opportunities and academic collaboration.
Articles are published in Croatian and other foreign languages.
The Anthology of Senj charges no article submission, processing or publication fees to authors.
All processing and publishing related expenses are covered by the publisher.
By giving consent for publication, authors delegate the right of first publication in print and in electronic format to the journal.
Each manuscript is peer-reviewed by two reviewers.
In case of contradictory reviews, the manuscript is sent to a third reviewer.
The final decision is made by the Editorial board.
We would refrain from publishing: manuscripts that do not meet the methodological standards expected of scientific research, works founded upon falsified or intentionally misrepresented scientific findings, contributions reliant on false or unsubstantiated historical assertions, submissions found to be instances of plagiarism or self-plagiarism (by software Turnitin), papers endorsing hate speech or propagating calls for ethnic, gender, or religious discrimination.
