Aims & Scope
The Revista Española de Educación Comparada, (Spanish Journal of Comparative Education, REEC), is an international periodical publication whose contributions are regularly subjected to a double-blind peer review process.
As a joint publication of the Sociedad Española de Educación Comparada (Spanish society of Comparative Education, SEEC), and by the la Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia, UNED, the REEC came into being in the year 1995, representing the realization of one of the primary scientific objectives expressed in articles 3 and 4 of the SEEC statutes, ratified in November of 1994.
Its declared mission was to serve as the scientific mouthpiece for the research and work carried out by the educational comparativists integrated in the SEEC.
Notwithstanding the primarily national scope of its origins, the journal has, naturally, always been open to contributions from all those comparativists, Spanish or foreign, wishing to publish the results of their recent research.
The objective of the publication is to contribute to the development of the interdisciplinary scientific field of Comparative Education, contributing to the analysis of comparative perspectives on education in national, international and global contexts, at all levels and in all sectors of education.
The REEC is committed to exploring and furthering the theoretical, conceptual and methodological debates taking place in the field of International and Comparative Education.
The journal publishes rigorous analyses of educational phenomena, policies and developments that have theoretical and practical interest and relevance for scholars, politicians and other professionals whose work bears a relation to this discipline.
