Aims & Scope

The Revista Electrónica Complutense de Investigación en Educación Musical (RECIEM) (ISSN-e 1698-7454) publishes works on learning and teaching music that are of interest for musical educators.

In addition to research, proposals are welcome that address epistemological and methodological matters, reviews of books discussing research, reviews of conferences or seminars held that include a critical analysis of the papers presented and the debates that have taken place.

The articles can provide information on research carried out in any context of musical education, both school (infant, primary, secondary education) and vocational (informal learning, private classes, music schools), professional (conservatories, universities, teacher training, orchestras, studies), community (choirs, bands, folk groups), therapeutic (music-therapy) or experimental (cognition, Neurology, Systematic Musicology).
