REDER is a journal published every semester, and it specializes in theoretical and practical studies on disaster risks, addressing the various stages of risk management and related socio-environmental processes: response, rehabilitation, reconstruction, recovery, prevention, mitigation, preparedness and readiness.
Likewise, the journal seeks to reflect on relevant aspects such as the identification and evaluation of the underlying factors of risk, the impacts of economic development models, the dimensions of governance, aspects of vulnerability and resilience of communities, the role of civil society , gender, crises, risk communication, sociology of disasters, impacts of variability and climate change.
REDER addresses these aspects and many others as they are today required to investigate and advance theories, methodologies and practices that support the disciplinary advance in this subject and the reduction of disaster risks.
