Aims & Scope
Reti Medievali is an international academic journal devoted to all aspects of medieval civilization.
It was created in 1998 by a group of scholars from various Italian universities in response to the uneasiness caused by the fragmentation of historiographic languages and research subjects.
A large number of historians subsequently gathered around the initiative, willing to discuss with their peers beyond their respective chronological, thematic and disciplinary specialisations, and to experiment with ways to apply information technology to research, and to communicate knowledge.
Despite its name RM Rivista is not intended to reflect a printed journal in the strict sense, for it presents neither an imitation nor a rendition of the structure of a printed journal into computer technology.
Instead, it is specifically devised in order to emphasize some characteristics of the new communication technology: the relative inexpensiveness of production and issuing, easiness of accessibility and widespread circulation favour fast updates, format flexibility, hypertextual language, the possibility for a multimedial edition, interactive usage and easier reproducibility.
Those readers who would like to be informed on the contributions which are published in RM Rivista are requested to fill in the registration form.
In accordance with legislation on privacy protection, the submitted information will neither be transmitted to third parties nor be used for other purposes.
