It is published by International Council for Open and Distance Education - ICDE The aim of Open Praxis is to provide a platform for global collaboration and discussion of issues in the practice of open, online, and distance education.

Open Praxis welcomes contributions that demonstrate creative and innovative research, particularly emphasizing challenges, lessons, and achievements in the practice of open, online, and distance education worldwide, with a special focus on higher education and K–12.
