Aims & Scope

The Ferdowsi University of Mashhad Journal of Social Sciences aims to publish original researches on the main theme of sociology, with a particular focus on economic sociology and development. Our studies should be empirical and characterized by methodological, conceptual, and theoretical innovations.

We publish papers extracted from field (qualitative, quantitative, and mixed), theoretical, review, and comparative-historical studies on social sciences, economic sociology, developmental sociology, and sustainable development. Our interdisciplinary studies focus on economic development, aiming to contribute to the synergy of the scientific community.

Our scope includes, but is not limited to, economic sociology and development, economic development and growth, historical studies on economic and sociological phenomena, welfare economy and social welfare, social and economic inequalities, poverty and deprived groups, socio-economic and institutional issues in environmental management, and health sociology.
