Aims & Scope

Namn og Nemne is the main organ for Norwegian name research. It is a scientific publication that targets and publishes work from anyone interested in Norwegian name research in a broad sense (place names, personal names, and other name categories, such as animal names, ship names, and street names, etc.).

The journal publishes current, new Norwegian and Nordic name scientific literature.

The journal's content is peer-reviewed by two experts outside the editorial team, following a double-blind process. A set of criteria is used to evaluate the submissions, ensuring a fair and unbiased review process.
