Aims & Scope
Mimesis Journal is a biannual publication that alternates between thematic and miscellaneous issues. The subtitle Scritture della performance indicates that it brings together authors from various countries and generations, academics, artists, and researchers interested in the contemporary and future of theater and performing arts, including modernity and contemporaneity, as well as advanced research and theories in the present, in a multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary, and transdisciplinary perspective, not exclusively historical but oriented towards a phenomenological approach.
The journal is divided into three sections: Saggi, Punti di vista, and Letture e visioni. It aims to provide a platform for discussing the latest developments and trends in the field of performing arts, with a focus on the intersection of theory and practice.
The journal's scope includes a wide range of topics, from the history of dance and theater to the latest innovations in performance art, as well as the intersection of performing arts with other disciplines such as philosophy, sociology, and cultural studies.
