Aims & Scope

Jurnal Penelitian Kehutanan Wallacea focuses on issues of conservation of biological resources, including sustainable management of biological resources, social aspects, and policies in conservation.

We are particularly interested in conservation issues in the biogeographical region of Wallacea, but conservation issues from other parts of the world are also welcome.

Wallacea is a strategic biogeographical region located between two continents, Asia and Australia, so the biodiversity in this region is extremely unique and specific, characterized by a high level of endemism.

However, on the other hand, the conservation of biological resources in this region is under threat from overcrowding and an increasing population.

Various approaches need to be continuously pursued in the context of managing existing biological resources to ensure their sustainable availability for the welfare of the people in this region.
