Aims & Scope
Journal of the Bulgarian Geographical Society is an international diamond open access peer-reviewed scientific journal dedicated to all fields of geography and interrelated fields of earth, ecological, social, economic and geoinformation sciences.
It is the oldest geographical journal in Bulgaria published regularly in three periods since 1933.
The geographical scope of the journal covers all the world with special attention to the Southeastern Europe and the Balkans.
We seek to publish high-quality research across a wide range of geographical, environmental and ecological topics.
The journal publishes papers by Bulgarian and international researchers, and we particularly encourage submissions from junior scholars and researchers working on innovative theoretical and practical topics including, but not limited to: • Ecosystem Services and Biodiversity; • Climate Change; • Nature and Landscape Conservation; • Ecological Modeling; • Remote Sensing; • GIS and Spatial Analysis; • Political Geography; • Geographic Education; • Geomorphology and Natural Hazards; • Glaciology and Antarctic Studies; • Hydrology and Water Resources; • Urban Geography; • Cultural Heritage and Tourism.
