Journal of Applied Security Research is the official journal of the Security & Crime Prevention Section of the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences.

It is an international premier, peer-reviewed journal for scholars, educators, practitioners and students in the fields of security, criminology and criminal justice, and crime prevention.

The JASR particularly welcomes evidence-based empirical research with an emphasis on the latest methods, techniques and technology applied to crime prevention and security management.

The journal also publishes case studies, interviews (see Practitioner's Corner) and state-of-the-art systematic reviews.
