Aims & Scope

The Journal of Embodied Research is a peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal that focuses on the dissemination of embodied knowledge through video.

We publish interdisciplinary research in fields such as performing arts, sport studies, disability studies, cultural studies, anthropology, and more. Our journal is particularly interested in articles that take a critical perspective on established methodologies and articulate marginalized knowledges.

Our focus is on videographic form and the integration of other media, including text, within it. We do not publish textual articles or essays, but instead aim to pioneer the scholarly video article as a new media form.
