The Journal of Adolescent & Adult Literacy (JAAL) seeks manuscripts that highlight innovative, research-based practices aimed at improving engagement and achievement among literacy learners ages 12 and older.
Topics may include but are not limited to curriculum, instruction, assessment, and programs for diverse populations of literacy learners across the globe; adolescents’ and adults’ consumption and production of visual, digital, and print-based texts in and out of school; and content area and disciplinary literacies.
