The Journal for Interdisciplinary Middle Eastern Studies (JIMES) aims to provide a unique forum for presenting original interdisciplinary articles from the social sciences, international relations and humanities that are related to the study of the broader Middle East.
The journal encourages theoretical and empirical studies on broad issues that include history and contemporary political, social, economic, and cultural aspects of Middle Eastern and Central Asian countries.
JIMES is an academic house for local, regional, and international scholars who wish to publish research that exhibits high academic standards and values.

By nature, JIMES is an interdisplinary journal, and the topics it covers range from Middle Eastern Studies, North Africa and Central Asia, to Islam.
