Its first issue was published in September 1972 as “IRANDOC Technical Bulletin”.

It was later changed name to “Information Science Quarterly” then “Information Science and Technology Quarterly” and finally " Iranian Journal of Information Proccessing & Management".

All rights for this periodical, whether intellectual or otherwise, are reserved for Iranian Research Institute for Information Science and Technology.

Now, This journal is electronical open access and every one can access it freely.
