Aims & Scope
The International Journal of Philosophical Studies (IJPS) publishes academic articles of the highest quality from different philosophical traditions and in a wide range of areas, including, but not limited to, philosophy of mind and action, epistemology, metaphysics, philosophy of language, ethics and aesthetics.
Historically informed submissions and submissions with rigorous original argument are particularly encouraged.
IJPS also publishes annual special issues devoted to key thematic areas or to critical engagements with contemporary philosophers of note.
Through its Discussion section, the International Journal of Philosophical Studies provides a lively forum for exchange of ideas and encourages dialogue and mutual comprehension across all philosophical traditions.
The journal contains an extensive book review section, including regular book symposia.
It also provides Critical Notices which review major books or themes in depth.
The broad range of IJPS makes it essential reading for professionals in all fields of Philosophy, for graduate students and for all those who take an interest in philosophical questions and their historic development.
