Aims & Scope
International Journal of Geospatial and Environmental Research (ISSN 2332-2047) is an international journal that aims to provide a forum for discussion among researchers in geography and related fields. “International†refers to the full range of scales of research from local to global, as well as the origin of authors. “Geospatial and Environmental†refers to the range of topics covered by the journal.
It covers all fields of geography, both human and physical, and environmental research that has an explicit spatial dimension.
Trans-boundary air pollution is a good example of environmental research with a spatial dimension.
The journal places particular emphasis on geospatial technologies, such as geographic information system, remote sensing, and spatial analysis.
Research demonstrating theoretical improvement or novel applications of geospatial technologies is particularly welcome.
The primary format of contributions is research articles, presenting new evidence from analyses of empirical data or else more theoretical investigations of geospatial and environmental problems.
IJGER also publishes review articles, comments on existing IJGER articles, and short communications on academic activities.
Examples of short communications on academic activities include reports on new datasets, specific case studies, academic reports from fieldwork, and preliminary results that warrant rapid dissemination.
