Aims & Scope
he International Journal of Euro-Mediterranean Studies (IJEMS) is an open access journal aimed at promoting intercultural dialogue and exchanges between societies, developing human resources, and assuring greater mutual understanding in the Euro-Mediterranean region.
To accomplish this objective, the journal seeks to publish high quality articles of various types: a scientific article (6,000–8,000 words with a strong theoretical and methodological input); a student-authored scientific article (same contours as a scientific article but authored by interested MA or PhD students); a research article (3,000–4,000 words with a strong expert and empirically relevant input); a review article (3,000–4,000 words with a focus on critically reviewing two or three (current) academic books).
The topics of articles include, but are not limited to: Politics, Sociology, Economics, Human Geography and Environment, Business and Management, Education, International Relations, and History.
While IJMES offers a wide inter-disciplinary base for article publication it is of the utmost importance that the articles’ content directly addresses the problematique as present in the Euro-Mediterranean area.
Thematic issues are published on: Civil Protection, Depollution of the Mediterranean, Alternative Energies, Maritime and Land Highways, Higher Education and Research, and Business Development in the Mediterranean.
