The International Journal of Active Learning aims to disseminate current and relevant research in learning and teaching in higher education, including the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) for learning and teaching, and issues concerning the management of teaching and learning.
The journal publishes articles that build on existing scholarship and research into learning and teaching, fostering the growth of research and theory-based practice, both individual and collaborative.
It provides a forum for discussion on key topics in higher education, a conduit for active scholarship about teaching and learning, and reviews books and packages about learning and teaching in higher education.
