Aims & Scope
Index de EnfermerÃa is a specialized journal focused on health care research, published quarterly by the Fundación Index.
It is distributed in major health care and research centers, universities, nursing schools and faculties, scientific societies, and health professionals, with a particular circulation in Spain and Latin America.
Possibly, "Index de EnfermerÃa" is the most widely read nursing research journal in Spanish in the world.
Index de EnfermerÃa is also the only specialized nursing bibliographic information journal in the Ibero-American region.
It promotes critical thinking and emphasizes phenomenological approaches to the health-disease process and the humanization of care, favoring emerging epistemological positions in health sciences such as knowledge management or qualitative research.
As a scientific journal, it includes various sections covering innovations in different fields of nursing: original articles, reviews, editorials, scientific letters, research methodology, care instruments, etc. (see description in the author guidelines).
Index de EnfermerÃa is an open, participatory, collaborative project capable of embracing any innovation that represents an advance in scientific research on health care and nursing.
The journal respects the opinions expressed by authors in its pages, no matter how contradictory they may seem, as it aims to gather the largest number of ideas and alternative proposals, no matter how novel or daring they may appear.
