Aims & Scope

Journal of Fine Arts: Performing Arts and Music is a peer-reviewed, open access, quarterly journal that publishes theoretical and empirical research on all facets of theatre, drama, cinema, radio, classical and contemporary music, traditional Persian music, performing arts, new media, aesthetics, art philosophy and pedagogy.

The journal aims to encourage and promote topics that are relevant to theatre, music, cinema, radio, television, and all forms of performing arts (recorded and live). By raising awareness of these performing arts topics, the art communities are one step closer to amending and adjusting public policies to promote artistic endeavors.

The journal covers a wide range of topics, including theatre, Western classical music, traditional Persian music, cinema, radio and television, and aesthetics and performing art philosophy. We welcome theoretical, analytical, quantitative, qualitative, empirical and field work-related research on topics related to the performing arts.
