Genèses is a social science and history journal that publishes papers by sociologists, historians, political scientists, economists, lawyers and anthropologists.

It aims at using historical analysis to shed light on present debates.

It also focuses on the history of science and social science, the genesis and evolution of disciplinary boundaries, objects and methods.

It is firmly interdisciplinary and international.

The new Carnets de Genèses aim at making the review pages of the journal both more accessible and more dynamic.

It will offer fresh reviews of various lengths and forms.

The Carnets will also more generally discuss what happens in and around Genèses.
