Aims & Scope
Peter the Great Museum of Anthropology and Ethnography (the Kunstkamera) of the Russian Academy of Sciences introduces its international peer-reviewed journal Etnografia (Этнография).
The journal aims to publish works on the ethnography of the peoples worldwide, on methods and results of studies on ethnicity, identity, mobility, migration, mythology, religion, ethnocultural heritage, and various characteristics of ethnic communities and their ethnocultural potential.
The journal's thematic scope goes beyond the subject fields of ethnography, ethnology, and anthropology and encompasses related academic fields of archeology, sociology, history, psychology, linguistics, museum studies, and history of science.
The journal seeks publications on themes traditional for ethnography and scholarship in such innovative areas as visuality, mobility, digitalization, and cyber ethnography.
