Launched in December 1987, Estudos Avançados has consolidated its position as one of Brazil's leading university magazines.

In addition to essays and treatises by IEA researchers and guest lecturers, Estudos Avançados also publishes texts by other specialists on issues of national and international relevance.

The Review also seeks to be a forum for debates on social-economic and Latin American problems.
