English in Education
Published by Taylor & Francis
ISSN : 0425-0494 eISSN : 1754-8845
Abbreviation : Engl. Educ.
Aims & Scope
English in Education publishes research-based articles and short creative pieces that provide informed reflection on the teaching of English within the school, college and higher education curriculum.
We want as many people as possible to get involved so the whole discipline community is represented: teachers, learners, researchers, writers, consultants and everyone who wants to support and improve English education.
Please see the journal’s Instructions for Authors for information on preparing and submitting your contribution.
We regard English as a dynamic, creative and integrated study of the language in all its forms and modes, including literature and digital media.
Articles on teaching multilingual students are welcome but the journal is not specifically focused on the teaching of English as a second language.
The work of the journal is overseen by the Editorial Board and by the international Academic Review Board, which ensures fair reviewing of all submissions through anonymous peer review.
Guest editors are engaged for special issues to focus on a particular theme or contemporary policy question.
The journal is published by Routledge/Taylor & Francis for the National Association for the Teaching of English, which represents teachers of English within the four countries of the United Kingdom and supports international colleagues.
It has a wide readership in Britain, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the USA.
As well as books and pamphlets, the Association also publishes the professional journal Teaching English.
