Aims & Scope

Journal Objective: El Taco en la Brea is an exclusively electronic scientific journal that aims to disseminate the results of scientific research in the field of literary theory and criticism. The journal is intended for students, teachers, and researchers in the aforementioned areas.

The journal publishes twice a year, with the first edition covering the period from December to May and the second edition covering the period from June to November. It welcomes original and unpublished articles in Spanish and Portuguese, as well as bibliographic reviews, that are limited to the scope of literary theory and criticism.

The journal consists of a set of fixed sections, including Papeles de investigación, Dossier, and Apuntes, as well as occasional sections, such as Archivo, Conversaciones, Pasajes, and Envíos. Each section has its own evaluation policy, with articles and reviews undergoing peer-review by external referees or the editorial board.
