Dialogues in Health accepts submissions in all areas of public health that address Sustainable Development Goal 3: Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages.
Of particular interest to the journal is work that showcases the interdisciplinary nature of public health, reflecting the intersection of multiple Sustainable Development Goals.
For example: Research on nutrition, diet, or food security relates to Goal 2: End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture.
Research limited to a specific geographical area relates to Goal 10: Reduce inequality within and among countries.
Research on how climate change affects health relates to Goal 13: Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts.
Editorial decisions will be based on sound methodology and adherence to ethical standards.
The journal welcomes confirmatory findings; data collection from limited geographies; small datasets; research using qualitative methods; null results.
As such, Dialogues in Health differs from other journals in the literature through its editorial ethos based around scientifically robust research, which strengthens the foundation of scientific knowledge.
Authors are strongly encouraged to present their findings in a way that supports inclusion in systematic reviews and meta-analyses, such as by including numerical data tables and participant data.
