Aims & Scope

The Cuadernos de Estudios del Siglo XVIII is an interdisciplinary scientific journal dedicated to the study of the Eighteenth Century in the scope of Spain and Hispano-America.

The CESXVIII (1991-), edited by Feijoo Institute for 18th Century Studies of the University of Oviedo, are continuators of the Boletín de Estudios del Siglo XVIII, founded in 1973.

Each CESXVIII issue includes a section of works organized around a Monographic, supervised by a coordinator designated by the Editorial Board, and a thematic-open section, Varia; another section of Sources and documents, focused on critical editing of texts; and a fourth section of Reviews, devoted to broadcasting bibliographical updates in the field of eighteenth-century studies.

The publication of works in the journal does not entail any fees for the authors.

CESXVIII only publish original research.

The papers received are submitted to an external and anonymous peer review evaluation system.
