Aims & Scope

Convivium is an annual peer-reviewed journal founded in 1956 that belongs to the Department of Philosophy at the University of Barcelona.

It publishes articles and reviews mainly in Catalan, Spanish, English, French, German, Italian and Portuguese; it is indexed in Web of Science (Arts & Humanities Citation Index, ESCI), The Philosopher’s Index (ProQuest), Scopus, SJR (SCImago Journal Rank), Latindex, iDialnet, CIRC, ÍnDICEs-CSIC, RESH, CARHUS Plus+, and MIAR.

The journal, which is devoted to the History of Philosophy, promotes the study of philosophical issues as they have been formulated and debated throughout history.

It welcomes relevant scientific contributions to debates in the history of philosophy, aiming to foster a rigorous and nuanced understanding of philosophy and its many different historical periods.
