Aims & Scope
Authors may present the following formats: research articles, essays, and systematic bibliographical reviews.
The journal is oriented towards the study of communication’s different aspects.
Its main topics are politics and media, semiotics and communication, communication and technologic convergence, socio-communicative problematics, journalism, media education, theories and methodologies of communication research, film and audiovisual media, intercultural communication, history of communication, among others.
It is a biannual peer-reviewed academic journal, nonprofit, with emphasis on the field of communication and its related topics.
Contratexto is directed towards scholars, researchers, and professionals of communications, social sciences, and humanities.
It aims to offer a critical and pluralist forum from which research results, studies, experiences, and essays are reflected upon, discussed, and spread.
Contratexto is an open-access journal, with the sole purpose to favor global knowledge exchange.
It is edited in Spanish, and it’s available in print and digital versions.
