Aims & Scope

Community Health Equity Research & Policy (CHERP) publishes work that uses research and policy approaches centering health equity, being inclusive of community health, health policy, and public health and health care systems.

The journal stresses the systematic application of social science theories and methodologies to address pressing public health concerns.

Environmental and structural changes are emphasized as long-lasting solutions to inequities, with community-partnered and participatory approaches to understanding and addressing health inequities prioritized in review.
