《有机化学》创刊于1980年, 为月刊, A4版, 144页. 主要刊登有机化学领域基础研究和应用基础研究的原始性研究成果, 设有研究专题、综述与进展、研究通讯、研究论文、研究简报、学术动态、亮点介绍等栏目. 接受中文、英文稿件. 本刊由中国科学院院士陈庆云教授任名誉主编、中国科学院院士丁奎岭教授任主编, 游书力教授任编辑室主任, 由13名中国科学院院士和中国工程院院士等老、中、青三代组成9名名誉编委和62名编辑委员会委员.
