Aims & Scope
Double-blind peer reviewed collection of scientific articles «Belarusian Folklore: data and research» is the first periodical mainly devoted to Belarusian folklore.
The collection publishes original studies into folklore, ethnology, cultural anthropology and related fields.
The collection focuses on the theoretical and empirical studies, evaluative review articles with a purpose to promote the theoretical knowledge of folklore studies and related fields. “Belarusian Folklore†publishes articles on any aspects and all genres of folklore, and articles on mythology, folk religion and customs, narratives, poetic folklore, ethnomusicology, etc.
The collection publishes occasional special issues devoted to particular topics, which merit special attention.
Original articles and materials are accepted for publication in the following sections: «Research», «Belarusian Folklore and Ethnolinguistic Atlas», «Belarusian Folklore in Historical Documents», «From the Collection of Folklore Records», «Data and Results of Field Research», «Folklore of Belarusians Abroad», «Reviews» and «Anniversaries».
