Aims & Scope
Australian Population Studies is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal containing short, high-quality papers on Australian population issues. Its aim is to be the leading outlet for Australian population research. The scope of the journal spans the full range of topics in demography and population studies, but contributions should focus on Australia and be written for a wide-ranging readership.
The journal invites submissions on prominent contemporary population matters, real-world applied research, and policy-relevant issues. Reports of case studies, new demographic datasets, and public domain code/software are encouraged. The journal publishes two issues per year, in May and November.
Australian Population Studies is published under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial licence 3.0 Australia (CC BY-NC 3.0 AU), allowing for non-commercial sharing and reproduction of work with proper credit given to the authors.
