Australian Historical Studies is a refereed journal publishing original and previously unpublished (online or hard copy) articles.

First appearing in 1940, it is the oldest and most highly-regarded academic journal of Australian history.

It is published four times a year.

Australian Historical Studies deals with all aspects of the history of Australia including its global context.

All historical approaches are welcomed.
